Combining 12K and unidirectional carbon fibre reinforcing Freefall’s Carbon 2x is our strongest, lightest and most responsive fin construction. 12K is the stiffest carbon fibre available and, when used as our base it creates more resistance and less flex, resulting in more drive. The unidirectional carbon runs to the tip of the fin in the same direction rather than woven together, similarly it’s used for strengthening aeroplane wings where more stiffness is needed. Not only that, the unidirectional carbon fibre is lighter than woven carbon, when combined into our Freefall Pro series fin templates our Carbon 2x gives our fins a more lively feel due to the way the flex responds in a much faster manner.
